I’m 25, my wife is 32 and we’re trying for our first baby together. We’ve been trying since we got married last year but she still hasn’t fallen pregnant. Apart from timing and positions, what can we do in terms of diet to help us conceive? What can I do to increase my sperm load/quality? Thanks!

There is nothing to suggest that vitamins do not aid in helping fertility. My husband is taking co q 10, L arginine, L carnitine, Saw Palmetto, Grapeseed Complex, Flax Seed Oil, Fish Oil, Vit C, Baby aspirin, and he can tell a difference in his sperm production and quality of his ejaculations so I would at least suggest taking some type of vitamin supplement to help if you are worried about any of those issues.
Also they can be purchased at walmart which is very convenient. As far as her, she can take the vit c as well which helps promote healthy cervical mucus that will aid in conception.
I would definetely google all the vitamins so you can see the benefits they produce.
Also make sure she is taking folic acid.
I spent many months at the fertility office. There really isn’t much of anything you can do with diet or vitamins. You’ll find websites out there – but there are no studies to back up any of their claims.
Find a good reproductive endocrinologist and get tested. After 12 months, something should have happened and the doctor can find out the problem and correct it within a cycle or two. I tried all that vitamin stuff and wasted money only to find out I have antibodies that immobilize the sperm.
