I know a lot of fruits, veggies, and water. I heard eating lots of yams increases your chances of multiples. What else should you eat or not eat while trying to conceive?

  1. Ladonna says:

Not too many fruits (especially fruit juices). They increase blood sugar.

You want to stay aways from bad carbs (white foods), processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol.

    Take a multi-vitamin.

It’s a certain type of yam (African yam) only found in Africa that is believed to increase twin rates. The Yoruba tribes in Nigeria eat the root of the yams. They have the highest twin rate worldwide. The African yam contains natural phytoestrogen hormone of which can stimulate the ovary to produce multiple egg cells to mature. The yams here and from mexico have little phytoestrogens compared to the African yam.
