I am 16 and pregnant. It was the first time I did anything and it was with my boyfriend of 3 years. I am planning on being home-schooled this year (junior year) and going back to school for my senior year. What would you do if you got pregnant?

I’d have to be home schooled because my school kicked out girls that were pregnant.

I actually became pregnant at 15 myself, and gave birth when I was 16.

Fast forward 14 years later, and I now have six children all together. :)

As far as what you should do with the baby is concerned, that is entirely up to how you feel, I would say. Depending on your own personal situation, and how you feel about the baby, and how you would try and raise it.

You may not feel you are ready to be a mother, and would like to find it a loving home. And that is fine, as long as you are ok with it.

I myself, was not ok with that idea, and wanted to keep my baby. I was very scared and sad at the time that I was pregnant so young, but I felt that having her so young was not my daughter’s fault, it was mine. And I wanted to take care of her. But I made that choice. If you don’t feel comfortable with being a mom at this age, and would like to give your child to a loving couple who can not have children on their own, that is a wonderful thing to do as well. :)

As far as school is concerned, I was able to finish 10th grade, took two years off, then went back to a Community College/Adult High School, and got my diploma there. It actually turned out to be a great decision! Not only did I get the chance to raise my daughter and teach her until she was almost 2, but the Adult High School was Full of professor’s and Teachers who actually had experience in what they were teaching! And most of them were still in school themselves. So they were MUCH BETTER Teachers then the ones in high school! In high school, I was failing math! And thought it was me! But when I went to the Adult High School, My math teacher was able to explain things to me in a way I could understand. So much so, that I ended up graduating with honors. :)

Again though, that is what I did personally. As for what you would like to do, that all depends on how you feel. But at least you have one other idea now. :)

    Best of luck!

Luckily I have already graduated high school. If I were to get pregnant now, and actually keep it, I would continue to go to university. I would do online when I have to, and then use the daycare at the university. I made a lot of money so I could afford it.

I hope that does not happen though. Good luck.

If you’re a pregnant teenager in my area you’re usually sent to a separate school. I would put the baby up for adoption. I wouldn’t be financially or even MENTALLY ready for a baby.

Hey, i became pregnant at 15. I stayed in school until the summer break before i was due (was due in December) then i was home schooled until the baby was born. I then went back to school on a part time basis 2 months after the baby was born. I finished school after completing my exams and then went straight into higher education. I have worked ever since. I am 25 now. Married, have 2 beautiful children, own my own home, have 2 cars, a full time job and baby number 3 is on the way. Good luck, and all the best.xx

I would probably be kicked out of school (or be "asked to leave") since it’s a catholic school, and i wouldn’t go to the public school in my town because that’s where all of my friends from elementary/middle school are and i would probably be humilitated, so i would take online courses and definitely keep the baby. abortion is not an option for me and i love babies so much and have always wanted to be a mom that i don’t think i could give it up.

but that wouldn’t happen because i’m seventeen years old, never been kissed, and saving it for marriage (:

I stayed in at school. I went into labour on the wednesday night, had my daughter on the thursday in the early hours of the morning. I was back in school three weeks later. My little girl is 18 months now and I am at university, full time. I think it’s just daft to drop out of school for a year to have a baby, you’ll miss out on a lot. I’d have gone back much sooner if I could

I would do online school while pregnant, give the baby up for adoption, and then go back to school.

  11. Bethany says:

uhm homeschooling…then go back into school senior year.. like yew and hope no one gives me any shit about it.

  12. Expecting Youth (it's a girl!) says:

I am pregnant and I’ll be a senior this year. I took summer school so I’ll graduate a semester early, that way I’ll be done in December and my due date is in late January. I never planned on going to college and thankfully with my fiancé’s job and our trust funds I don’t have to. I think going back for senior year will be difficult, who is going to take care of the baby when you are away. It really doesn’t matter the path you take as long as you finish up high school. I’m sure you’ll figure something out, good luck(:

  13. CLASS OF 2011 says:

go to a tapp program in my area,a tapp program is a high school for pregnant girls and, girls who have kids, if you want to join a Program as your school counselor they will give you some info or, I will drop out of school and get my GED

  14. :) ♥ 26 ♥ (: says:

I would do what your doing basically but stay in school until the month my baby is due, then start home schooling. Good Luck.

  15. H is for Hello says:

Well, if I got pregnant I wouldnt keep the baby, but for the sake of this question lets just pretend I would.

I would go to regular school until I was close to my due date, and then I would do home schooling. I would probably just finish school through home schooling so I could be at home with my baby and possibly finish school earlier than I would at regular school.

  16. CcrystalMmeth says:

Look for schools in my city or near my city that provide education for pregnant or mothering teenage women. I have two here in my location, not too sure where you live. . . I’m quite sure you could go about on google and look for some.

  17. chandler says:

    Give it up for adoption.
Honestly, I can’t emotionally or financially handle myself, how can I handle a child?
I would be going to school everyday until my due date. Then come back to school after I get released from the hospital.

I really hope this would never happen to me because I’m waiting to have sex until im 18+
