why does it take some people longer than others to conceive?

"After one month of trying I became pregnant and had a beautiful healthy boy!"

"After over 7 years of trying to conceive and thousands of dollars spent on infertility treatments, I had actually succeeded to get pregnant the natural way without any drugs or medical intervention "

" I just wanted to say thank you for writing this program and for giving hope to women at my age. I am 46 and I am finally going to be a mother."

it really confuses me.
ive been trying to conceive for 4 months now
but then there are some people who get pregnant their first try.
why is this?

I don’t know alot of drs say maybe the women aren’t ovulating maybe the men aren’t producing enough sperm.Should be eating different diet.It goes on and on and on but no one can say well do this and you’ll get pregnant or stop doing this and you’ll get pregnant. It’s all a list of do’s and don’ts and maybe one of them will work. All trial and error I guess but if you find out I’d love to know been ttc for 10 months….Good Luck and baby dust
it’s just pot luck to be honest. Some women are really fertile much more than others, but dosen’t mean it will never happen for those who aren’t, it will just take that little bit longer.
It can depend on age, diet, how stressful your life is – all these things play a big part in this. But four months is not something to be concerned about, doctors won’t even look into it untill at least after1 year!
Good Luck, all the best!
The main thing to remember is that everyone is different.
Statistically speaking, for healthy couples, they say each month of "trying" you have a 20-25% chance of conceiving. It is considered normal for healthy couples to take up to a year to conceive.
It took my husband and I two months of "trying but not trying" before I got pregnant. It took my friend ONE time. It took my cousin 4 years. It took my other friend 7 years.
I know how discouraging it can be, trying each month with no success. Are you sure you’re timing things correctly? Has your cycle been regular? How is your diet? Are you normally stressed out? What is your age? There are many factors that can contribute to how fertile you are. Have you considered using Ovulation Prediction Kits?
But don’t worry. Keep your chin up and try to relax. If after a year of trying, you still have no luck, then maybe consider seeing your doctor.
Good Luck~
