Will a doctor prescribe Clomid to an 17 year old trying to conceive?

"After one month of trying I became pregnant and had a beautiful healthy boy!"

"After over 7 years of trying to conceive and thousands of dollars spent on infertility treatments, I had actually succeeded to get pregnant the natural way without any drugs or medical intervention "

" I just wanted to say thank you for writing this program and for giving hope to women at my age. I am 46 and I am finally going to be a mother."

I’m 17 years old (18 in just over a month) and I’ve been trying to conceive for over 2 years. I have pcos and I was wondering if a doctor would prescribe Clomid to someone my age.
I’m not looking for a lesson in morals, I just want to know if it’s legally possible.

Doctors cannot provide any sort of fertility medicine or treatments to any minor, even with parental permission.
When you turn 18, you can attempt to get fertility medicine, although it will still be up to the doctors discretion and very few doctors will prescribe that to a teen, whether a minor or not.
Your time will come to have a child, trust me. Whether you’re 17 or 27..infertility is something that a lot of women in the world go through. Just hang in there, and focus on being a teen! Your time will come to have a child
Doctors aren’t allowed to prescribe fertility medication, or any medication for that matter, to a minor. I still think you are seriously crazy if you have already been trying for two years. Get an education and married first so you can PROVIDE for that child.
No sensible doctor would do that, and no ethical doctor would do that.
You’ve been trying to conceive for TWO years and you’re only 17.
Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND? We have enough babies on welfare already. Go to school, get a job, work for awhile, get married, and THEN have a baby. That’s what a mom who loves her (future) children would do.
I don’t know about legality but I do know that no ethical doctor would prescribe fertility meds to a child.
You are a baby and have no business trying to have a child of your own yet. Finish high school, go to college, get a good job, maybe buy a house, be married or at least engaged to a person who also has their sh*t together and THEN think about having a child.
