will mucinex help me conceive and when should i start?

My last period was March 14th and it lasted 4 days. I know my fertile period is March 24th till the 30th. Will taking mucinex help me conceive? if so when should i start taking it? will having sex every other day help me have more of a chance? any ideas to help me conceive?
It won’t make a difference unless you have thick cervical mucous that is stopping the sperm from making it up to your egg. I’ve never heard of taking Mucinex but I have heard of taking Robitussin, I would assume that they would do the same thing though. If you think that you have thick cervical mucous that would warrant Mucinex or Robitussin to thin it out I would start taking it 2 or 3 days before ovulation so for you probably on March 21st (or now since we’re past that already! lol) Good luck, I hope it works out!

Mucinex only helps if you have thick vaginal mucous that prevents semen from traveling well. Most women’s bodies work well without it. Only after discovering that your mucous is too thick should you consider augmenting your fertility with a drug. The increased risk of birth defects from chemicals is unreasonable if you’re perfectly healthy and able to bear children otherwise.
That said, you should get married before attempting to have a child, not the other way around, which is what it appears you’re doing since your other posts refer to your "boyfriend" rather than "husband"… You’re setting yourself up for a miserable life filled with poverty if you do it in the wrong order, especially at a young age.
I don’t know why a 16 year old would want a baby…
i read your other posts and you mentioned that you are 16!! i know you dont want to hear this. but PLEASE take it from someone who wants to help you. DONT do this so young in your life. at least start going to college and be in a stable enough relationship with your boyfriend having a good job that he will be able to stay home and watch the baby when your at school.
if u cant do that…at LEAST graduate high school and figure out what u wanna do wit ur life.
