You don’t get pregnant on the pill, thus, no bleeding. You’ll get pregnant, forgetting, taking it late, two a day, or playing around with the pill. Like Russian roulette.
    Peace.

UMMMMMM……that is why you don’t answer questions like this if you are not a female!!!!!! Yes, you CAN get preggo on the pill…duh!!! I did, and i hadn’t missed one, or taken one late…it is NOT 100%!!! so…bleeding…this may be TMI, but was is bright red, or was it brownish in color? either way it could either be your actual period, or implantation bleeding…which usually looks a bit similar to a really light period, and then may turn brown in color…and if you are pg your hormones would go wayyyyy up not down…take a test hon! Good Luck!

No form of birth control is 100% effective, except abstinence. So, while the risk of getting pregnant while taking the pill as directed is quite small, it is possible. Every woman and every pregnancy is different. There are quite a few possible scenarios for women who do get pregnant while taking birth control pills. In some cases the usual bleeding stops despite the fact the woman has continued to take the birth control pills. For other women their bleeding is different in some way such as it starts late or is more like spotting rather than the usual bleeding. There is also the possibility that a woman who conceives while taking birth control pills does have what seems like normal period-like bleeding. In my own personal case, I conceived our 4th baby quite unexpectedly when I was reliably taking birth control pills for 11 years. I had no idea I was pregnant and the pregnancy was actually discovered by my doctor during my yearly physical. I had been having what seemed like my normal periods so I had an ultrasound to determine gestation. Shockingly I was 17 weeks along and had no idea at all that I was pregnant. In the length of time that I likely conceived until I found out I was pregnant I had 2 periods that were nomral in every way from when they came to how long they lasted to how much bleeding. The period just before my doctor’s appointment came at the usual time but was slightly lighter and shorter than usual. I stopped taking birth control pills, of course, after I found out about the pregnancy and didn’t have any further incidences of vaginal bleeding the rest of the pregnancy. I asked my doctor how it was possible that I had a "period" when I was pregnant. She said sometimes it happens even to women who aren’t taking birth control pills. Hormones can do some wacky things sometimes. The bleeding happens because not all the uterine lining and tissue attach to the placenta, especially in the early months of pregnancy, so it is possible to have what seems like a normal period and the baby is not affected. ADDED: Just for the record, when I conceived while taking birth control pills I had not missed any pills (after 11 years of use, taking them on time was like breathing). I also was not on any other medication that would have interfered with the pill’s effectiveness. I hadn’t even had any bouts of vomiting or diarrhea which can eliminate the pill before it can get in to your system. My doctor’s only explanation was that I must be the "lucky" 1% that makes birth control pills 99% effective.
